The Rehab Process... EVOLVED.
EVO Physical Therapy & Performance was established for those athletes and active adults looking for the long-term solutions that the traditional rehab model often fails to provide.
Our mission is to provide our patients with the tools and guidance they need to live a healthy, active lifestyle while performing at their highest level.
In order to do so, we designed a concierge service that allows us to spend more valuable one-on-one time with our patients in order to:
Perform a thorough and comprehensive evaluation
Identify the 'root cause' of your pain or impaired performance
Problem solve long-term solutions
And, focus on the fine details of a treatment plan tailored specifically to your needs
Because we are able to spend so much time addressing the the source of your pain or dysfunction up front, our patients spend less time on our treatment tables and more time doing the things they love, pain-free.
And, as leaders in sports performance, this also means getting back to the things you love stronger, faster, and more resilient than ever before. Our athletes can expect an assessment process and progressive programming that are specifically designed to ensure your safe return-to-sport and return-to-fitness.

The Need For A Healthcare Revolution
Under the current healthcare model, we have seen yearly increases in insurance premiums and deductibles, yet there has been a steady decline in the quality of care.
And thus, patients can expect to be referred for costly, and often times unnecessary, testing and imaging in order to offset the decreased face-to-face time with their healthcare provider. More specifically, patients in rehab can expect:
Overly crowded clinics (3-4 patients/hour)
A majority of their session spent with a PT aide
Generic/non-progressive treatment programs focused on symptom management (rather than addressing the root cause)
Over-utilization of passive interventions (heat, ice, electrical stimulation)
And, too much wasted time (1-2 hours/session, 2-3x/week, 6-8 weeks)
Even worse, athletes and active adults are often under-treated and unprepared to return to their respective sports or activities. This is due to sub-par testing, non-progressive treatment programs, and insurance companies not paying for "return-to-sport" interventions such as running, jumping, change of direction, or other sport-specific activities.
While the current healthcare model may lead to a decreased initial cost to the patient, there is often valuable time, money and effort wasted throughout the process.
In fact, the average cost of non-surgical care for adults with newly-diagnosed low back pain ranged from
$1090 to $5868 over 6-8 weeks; with symptoms re-occurring in about 33% of patients.
In addition, the typical athlete recovering from an ACL reconstruction can expect 15-30% risk of re-injury;
while athletes recovering from Tommy John surgery can expect >50% risk of re-injury.
WHAT ATHLETES ARE SAYING ABOUT US
NICOLE, SKY BLUE FC
'He is really looking for achievable and maintainable solutions so your body can feel really good long after your time working with him. For me, I felt more fit, stronger, mentally tougher - and just felt better in every way possible.'
NICK, ROLLES GRACIE JUI JITSU
'I had upper and lower back pain for about 10-15 years and went to chiropractors and PTs for as long as I could remember. I’ve done traction, acupuncture, massages, cupping and more. After a few sessions with TJ, not only did we figure out the cause of the pain, but it went away completely. Since then, I have been able to make the pain go away with exercises and stretches I was taught during treatment. TJ’s care and attention to his patients is 10/10. If you have any pain, you must go see TJ!'
MADISON, SKY BLUE FC
"EVO PT & Performance has helped me correct and improve my mechanics, which has in turn helped me to get back on the field as the fittest athlete that I have been throughout my entire career.'
DAVID, UNIVERSITY OF MAINE FOOTBALL
TJ has helped me through two major obstacles to achieve my athletic goal of being a division 1 college athlete. This includes a fracture in my L5 and maintaining my body at a high level. TJ has done nothing but put my health before himself doing whatever it took to get me where I needed to be. Forever grateful for everything this man has done for me.

He often draws from his experience as a fitness professional – promoting a healthy lifestyle and encouraging patients to have an active role in their treatment to ensure long-lasting results.
Throughout the rehab process, he applies principles of the Postural Restoration Institute, Functional Movement Systems and general principles of sports performance to uncover the underlying cause of pain, movement dysfunction or impaired performance. Then, he systematically addresses these issues by restoring variability, building capacity and safely progressing patients from ‘injured to indestructible.’
In his free time, TJ enjoys an active lifestyle of strength training, running and hiking with his family.
